The Kouga Wind Farm has been working with the community to establish a soup kitchen in Umzamowethu and the soup kitchen officially opened its doors Wednesay 3 April 2014, running twice a week to start (Wednesday and Saturday).
The Kouga Wind Farm is providing the utensils such as mugs, plastic spoons, big pots, bowls, serving spoons & dish towels, as well as vegetables & other food supplies on a weekly basis
The soup kitchen is being run out of the local crèche.
